Chitkara University ranks 6th in ‘North Zone’ & 20th in ‘All India’ among the Top Private and Deemed Multidisciplinary Universities’ by The Week-Hansa Research Survey 2018
We are immensely proud to share that Chitkara University has been ranked sixth in the ‘North Zone’ & 20th in ‘All India’ in the category ‘Top Private and Deemed Multidisciplinary Universities’ by The Week-Hansa Research Survey 2018 “India’s Best Universities” in the May 27 issue of the magazine.
Chitkara University has also been ranked 21st in ‘North Zone’ in the category ‘Top Multidisciplinary Universities’ and 73rd in Overall University Ranking in India by The Week-Hansa Research Survey 2018. A primary survey was conducted that involved around 245 academic experts, spread across 19 cities.
THE WEEK is one of the most reputed in its field and has got tough criterion for ranking universities. Most of the universities THE WEEK team visited for the survey gave weight to research and improvement. Another aspect was modifying the curriculum according to the requirements of the industry. The universities visited follow a research-based approach adding professionalism in their students making them industry-ready.
These universities were urged to put forward and rank the top universities in India. Following a qualitative approach gave an in-depth understanding of the reasons for the rankings. The score for a university hugely depended on the number of nominations by experts and the actual ranks received.
The realistic score was calculated based on various aspects of the information collected from universities and other secondary sources. The criteria largely depended on accreditation, infrastructure and other facilities, intellectual resource, research, student quality, alumni and industry exposure, and placements. Based on these criteria, Chitkara University stood out and was noticed by the ‘who is who’ of the education scenario.
