Chitkara University ranks 2nd in India by the coveted World’s Universities with Real Impact (WURI)
Chitkara University has been ranked in the 101-200 band in the list of “Top Innovative Universities” and 2nd in India by the coveted World’s Universities with Real Impact (WURI). Chitkara University has also been ranked in the 51-100 band in the ‘Student Mobility and Openness’ category in the WURI Ranking 2022.
The World’s Universities with Real Impact (WURI) Ranking was created to draw attention to and recognise the efforts made by universities to develop a future workforce that would be in line with the expanding needs of modern society. It is sponsored by four organisations, including the Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU) from the Netherlands, the Institute for Industrial Policy Studies (IPS) from Seoul, South Korea, and the UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) from Geneva, Switzerland, and the Tailor Institute of Franklin University (FUS) from Lugano, Switzerland. It is organized by the Institute for Policy and Strategy on National Competitiveness (IPSNC).
The rankings were presented on June 9th, 2022 in both South Korea and Switzerland. The “Global Best 100,” which is the top 100 universities according to the WURI ranking, were revealed during this event. The top 50 universities in each of the six categories—industrial application, entrepreneurial spirit, ethical value, student mobility and openness, crisis management, and fourth industrial revolution—were also revealed at the same time. The WURI ranking is unique because a new criterion is added each year. The Fourth Industrial Revolution is the new criterion for this year, which assesses how well and adaptably universities are coping with the rapid adoption of high technology (such as Artificial Intelligence) and how they are implementing the use of such high technology in teaching. Chitkara University had ranked 47th in ‘Entrepreneurial Spirit’ in the “World’s Universities with Real Impact Ranking 2021”.
