Chitkara University and PSCST jointly organised “24th State Level Children Science Congress 2016”

Punjab State Council for Science Technology (PSCST) and Chitkara University Punjab jointly organised the “24th State Level Children Science Congress 2016” at Chitkara University from 26-28 November 2016. Children Science Congress is the biggest Science Communication program in the country and over 10 lakh children in the age group of 10-17 participate every year in it at various level.

In the State level Children Science Congress, 574 students and 135 teachers from whole over Punjab participated and presented their projects on the theme “Science Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development”. 121 projects were presented and the following 16 projects were shortlisted for National level Children Science Congress.

The first two positions in the junior and senior group were:
The winner in Junior Group – Komal – Govt. High School Mehtan — Calorific Value of Different Biomass
Winner in Senior Group -Arshiya Gupta – DAV Public School Amritsar — Bio-Plastic

The prize distribution was held on 28/11/2016 and the Chief Guest on the Occasion was Dr. Jatinder Kaur Arora, Executive Director PSCST while Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice Chancellor of Chitkara University presided over as the guest of honour.
