Chitkara University organises cultural night for hostellers

An orientation ceremony for the inception of Enigmatic Persuares in Chitkara (EPIC) Club was organised by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), Chitkara University, exclusively for the hostellers wherein students were informed about the house systems and different upcoming competitions that will be conducted for them in the session.

At Chitkara University, two esteemed clubs namely- EPIC and C2S2 function under the Office of Student Affairs that organise and supervise various events for hostellers.

A cultural night was organised by EPIC club and C2S2 for orienting the students that included various hypnotic performances and amusing activities. All the hostellers were divided into 4 houses: Knights, Spartans, Vikings, and Legions who then competed in 2 competitions- Junoon and Civil War.

Junoon was a solo-act competition wherein talented individuals came up on the stage and presented their unique skills. In Civil War, the houses competed against each other in a battle of clans. Various C2S2 societies also put on shows for the hostellers such as a play “Rishton ki Dukan” by C2S2 Natsamrat Theatre Club, a dance performance by Custody, a melodic performance of “Dhwani”, and an act of universe display by the C2S2 Panache club that informed about the club. Panache Club also showcased their modelling talent which was followed by a dance performance from Custody club. The night ended with a Bhangra performance by TBR.

On the occasion, Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, lauded the performance of all the participants and said, “It is our endeavour to provide each student an opportunity to showcase their talents and hone their skills. Moreover, a lot of life skills are learnt when one participates in such activities that contribute to one’s holistic development. We have planned various activities in the future that will surely keep our students engaged and energised.”
