Chitkara University inks MoU with ICSI. Joins the league of IIMs
Chitkara University and The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, a body functioning under the aegis of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, New Delhi, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
CS Manish Gupta, President, ICSI, signed the MoU on behalf of ICSI, and Dr. Sandhir Sharma, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara Business School represented Chitkara University during the signing ceremony, held at ICSI Headquarters, New Delhi.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Dhiresh Kulshreshtha, Dean-Economics, Dr. Kiran Mehta, Dean MBA (Finance), and Dr. Rashmi Aggarwal, Dean (Commerce) from Chitkara Business School, as well as CS Asish Mohan, Secretary, ICSI, CS A K Srivastava, Joint Secretary, CS Rajiv Ranjan, Assistant Director, andGeetanjali Singh Rathore, Deputy Director of ICSI.
By signing this MoU with ICSI, Chitkara Business School has become part of the league of 17 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). This agreement will enable all students to pursue the Company Secretary course on campus, with the Economics, Commerce, and Finance students of Chitkara Business School being direct beneficiaries. Additionally, the faculty and students will have access to all the academic resources of ICSI. The establishment of the Centre of Excellence – Corporate Governance is also envisioned in the longer run.
