MoU inked with the Art of Living Foundation in presence of Shri Shri Ravi Shankar
Chitkara University has taken a significant step in prioritizing the mental and spiritual well-being of its stakeholders by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Art of Living Foundation during the Happiness Mahotsav Function held in New Delhi. This move is in line with the directives of the National Education Policy (NEP), which underscores the importance of mental and spiritual wellness in educational institutions.
The Art of Living Foundation, founded by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in 1981, is a renowned organisation with a presence in 180 countries across the world. The MOU was signed by Hon’ble Dr. Madhu Chitkara, the Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, on behalf of both campuses in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji was also present at the ceremony.
In addition to signing the MOU, Dr. Madhu Chitkara also presented a University Citation to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji for his unparalleled contribution to humanity. She expressed her gratitude for his visit to the campus in 2017 and was delighted to share the progress made by the university over the past few years.
Under this MOU, Chitkara University staff and students will have access to courses designed to promote overall development, with direct supervision from the trained faculty of The Art of Living Foundation. The partnership promises to be of immense benefit to the university’s stakeholders and marks a significant step forward in Chitkara University’s commitment to holistic education.
