Chitkara University in collaboration with PPCB organises a seminar on “Future Lies in Environment Protection”

Chitkara University, Punjab in collaboration with Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) organised a seminar on “Future Lies In Environment Protection”. The seminar witness the presence of prominent people from various domains. The Chief Guest for the event was Hon’ble Mr. Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel, Chairperson, National Green Tribunal.

Hon’ble Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Punjab along with Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Punjab were also present for the seminar.

Chitkara University, Punjab has been a pioneer in environment conservation in all regards. Chitkara University, Punjab was awarded with an appreciation certificate for Maintaining High Standards of in-house compliances for environment conservation by Punjab Pollution Control Board.

The dignitaries proceeded for a plantation drive. The seminar was also attended by Justice Jasbir Singh, Chairman, Monitoring Committee, National Green Tribunal Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, the spearhead of anti-river pollution campaign in Punjab; Padma Shri Awardee Prof. Dr. Adarsh Pal Vig, Chairperson, Punjab Pollution Control Board; Prof. Umendra Dutt, Founding member and Executive Director, Kheti Virasat Mission; Prof. V.K Garg, Dean, School of Environment and Earth Sciences, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda; Dr. Ravindra Khaiwal, Department of Community Medicine & School of Public Health, PGIMER; Dr. Sushil Mittal, Vice-Chancellor, Sardar Beant Singh State University, Gurdaspur, Punjab, and members of the Punjab Pollution Control Board and National Green Tribunal.
