Chitkara University Hosts Two-Day Deadlift Tournament Celebrating Strength and Sportsmanship

Chitkara University’s CSE Sports Club, in collaboration with the University Sports Board, successfully organised a two-day Deadlift Tournament, showcasing exceptional strength, determination, and sportsmanship. The event featured intense competition across both men’s and women’s categories, with participants demonstrating remarkable physical prowess.

In the men’s category, winners were declared in various weight classes, highlighting the diverse talent among the athletes. Abhay Singh emerged victorious in the under 60kg category, Kavish Thukral claimed the title in the 60-70kg category, Vasu secured first place in the 70-80kg category, Amber Dhama triumphed in the 80-90kg category, and Keshav Vashisht took the crown in the above 90kg category.

The overall champions in the men’s category were Kavish Thukral, who secured 1st place with an outstanding performance, followed by Abhay Singh in 2nd place and Amber Dhama in 3rd place. Their impressive achievements highlighted their dedication and strength throughout the competition.
In the women’s competition, Ria Khurana delivered an outstanding performance, securing first place overall, while Jiya achieved a well-deserved second-place finish.

Kavish Thukral’s exceptional display of strength earned him the title of Overall Champion in the men’s category, further solidifying his dominance throughout the competition. In the women’s division, Ria Khurana’s powerful lifts set her apart as the top performer.

This event not only celebrated physical strength but also highlighted the university’s commitment to nurturing sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among students.
