In a powerful display of altruism and community spirit, Chitkara University recently hosted a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with PGIMER, Chandigarh, and Rajindra Hospital, Patiala. The event, organised by the National Service Scheme (NSS) as part of its ongoing 7-day camp, took place against the backdrop of the Sportorium Block, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across various departments.

The Blood Donation Camp not only underscored the university’s commitment to humanitarian causes but also served as a beacon of hope and solidarity. Students from disciplines such as Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Commerce and Accounts (CA), and Computer and Cybersecurity (CCP) joined hands to contribute to this noble initiative.

Over the course of the event, 500 units of blood were collected, marking a significant milestone in the university’s efforts to support local healthcare institutions. Dr. S.C. Sharma, Registrar of Chitkara University, Punjab, alongside Deans and Directors from various departments, graced the occasion to encourage and applaud the donors for their selfless act.
“The Blood Donation Camp exemplifies the core values of compassion and community that define Chitkara University,” remarked Dr. Sharma. “It is heartening to see our students embodying these values and making a tangible difference in the lives of others.”

The event not only highlighted the importance of blood donation in saving lives but also fostered a sense of unity among participants. It showcased how collective acts of kindness can transcend boundaries and bring people together for a common cause.
“In a world often fraught with division, events like this remind us of the power of empathy and solidarity,” said a participating student. “Each donation represents a lifeline for someone in need, and it’s a privilege to contribute.”

The impact of the Blood Donation Camp extends beyond the campus, inspiring others to consider donating and reinforcing the university’s role as a catalyst for positive change in society. As the campaign continues to resonate, Chitkara University looks forward to future initiatives that uphold the spirit of giving and compassion.
