The Chitkara Happiness Centre, in collaboration with Chitkara School of Hospitality and Management, recently organised a stress management session for students of the Hospitality Department. The session, led by Ms. Vrinda Sharma, aimed to provide students with practical strategies to enhance their mental well-being and prioritise self-care, aligning with Chitkara University’s mission to support student health and happiness.

Vrinda’s session focused on the “4 Corners of Happiness & Stress-free Life” as outlined by the Harvard Business Review. The components of this framework – gratitude, mindfulness, exercise, and sleep – were explored in depth, giving students actionable insights into managing stress in their personal and academic lives. A highlight of the session was “The Power of Response,” where Vrinda Sharma shared inspiring stories that encouraged students to adopt a positive mindset in handling stress.

Interactive activities and open discussions added a dynamic element to the session, which students found both informative and engaging. The impact of the event was reflected in a post-session survey, where 100% of participants reported an increased awareness of stress management techniques, 95% felt more motivated to prioritise self-care, and 90% gained a deeper understanding of the 4 Corners of Happiness & Stress-free Life.

The session empowered students with essential tools for a balanced and fulfilling life, demonstrating the commitment of the Chitkara Happiness Centre and Chitkara School of Hospitality and Management to fostering student well-being. This successful collaboration reinforces Chitkara University’s dedication to creating a supportive campus community that promotes health, resilience, and personal growth.
