Chitkara University Hosts International Scholars for 14th Global Week
Chitkara University is proud to announce the commencement of the ’14th Global Week,’ organised by the Office of International Affairs. Scheduled from February 12 to 16, 2024, this event marks a significant highlight in the university’s academic calendar, showcasing its commitment to promoting global engagement and cross-cultural competence.
The inauguration ceremony of the 14th Global Week was graced by the presence of Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice-Chancellor of Chitkara University, Punjab, along with Dr. S. C. Sharma, Registrar of Chitkara University, Punjab, and Hazel Siromoni, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Office of International Affairs, Chitkara University.
The week-long event will shine a spotlight on pivotal domains such as Design, UI/UX, Fashion Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Media & Mass Communication, and Filmmaking. Promising an immersive experience for both students and professors alike, this event exemplifies the university’s dedication to fostering authentic networking, collaborative research, and cross-cultural competence.
What sets the 14th Global Week apart is the participation of fifteen dynamic international faculty members from ten universities across nine countries. These esteemed educators will share their expertise with Chitkara University students in fields ranging from Architecture and Design to Journalism and Interior Design.
The university is honored to welcome a diverse array of faculty members, including Genelle Payant from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada; Dr. Harpreet Singh Kandra from Federation University, Australia; AFM Moniruzzaman from the University of Liberal Arts, Bangladesh; Sharon Hughes from the University of East London, United Kingdom; Prof. Dmitry Kharshak from HSE University, Russia; Md. Aminul Islam from the University of Liberal Arts, Bangladesh; Benigno B. Agapito Jr. from Mapúa University, Philippines; Jonah Lim from Mapua University, Philippines; Mikhail Tyurkin from HSE University, Russia; Rafael Hespanhol from Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Canada; and Andrey Punin from HSE University, Russia.
