International online Conference on ‘Innovation and Challenges in Research Publishing’ held.
Chitkara University hosted an international online conference on ‘Innovations and Challenges in Research Publishing’ on February 22-23, 2022,
A total of 400 participants from various national and international institutions attended the conference. Speakers of international and national renown delivered the discourse. Three well-known panellists moderated a discussion.
It was a beneficial experience in which participants were engaged and received first-hand information from specialists in several industries. Similarity Index and Plagiarism, Open Science Framework in India, coalition initiatives and activities for Open Access, Peer Review and Role of Editors, Role of Institutional Repositories, Research Analysis, Selection of the Right Journals, Ranking and Research in the Social Science and Humanities domain, DOAJ Indexed Journals, Open Science Practices and Identifiers’ Importance for Researchers and Institutions were some of the main topics covered during the two-day session.
Subject experts discussed various aspects of research publishing and the latest innovations publishers frequently adopt. Also, there was a discussion on how best networking models, practices and technology can many technical, ethics and many technical research integrity issues of the early-stage publishers. The objective of this conference was to exchange knowledge and information about best practices and latest technologies in publishing developed and used by the experts.
Dr. Manoj Manuja, Pro Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, gave the ‘Vote of Thanks,’ while Dr. Sushil Kumar, Deputy Dean, Journals and Publications, Chitkara University Publications, was the event’s Convener.
