Chitkara University Hosts Blockchain Workshop—Delves into the Technology
Chitkara University’s Department of Interdisciplinary Courses in Engineering (DICE) and Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) joined hands to organise a transformative two-day workshop titled “Exploring Blockchain: Unlocking Diverse Applications & Strategies”.
The workshop kicked off with an inaugural session featuring a welcome by Dr. Rajneesh Talwar, Professor, and Dean of DICE. Dr. Talwar extended greetings to resource persons, Deepak Goyal from ICP Hub India Crewsphere, and Abhinav, founder of NAVV Dev, distinguished experts in the field of blockchain technology. Dr. Talwar elucidated the workshop’s objectives, setting the stage for an enriching learning experience.
As the session progressed, Deepak Goyal initiated engaging discussions, delving into the fundamental principles of Blockchain technology. Through various projects and real-world applications, he provided attendees with invaluable insights into the versatile implementations of blockchain technology. Following Goyal’s comprehensive discourse, Abhinav took center stage to demystify concepts related to Web 2.0 and Web 3.0. Drawing parallels and exploring topics such as Bitcoin and the development of decentralised applications (dApps), he supplemented his explanations with practical examples, enhancing student comprehension. Abhinav underscored the critical role of decentralised platforms and cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin in shaping the future landscape of digital interactions.
