Chitkara University Excels in State-Level Energy Conservation Awards
Chitkara University has been honoured with the Second Prize at the prestigious State Level Energy Conservation Award Competition organised by PEDA (Punjab Energy Development Agency) in collaboration with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power (Government of India).
In a distinguished ceremony, Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, received the accolade from Sh. Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, Minister of Sports and Youth Services, Government of Punjab. Accompanying her were key figures contributing to the university’s energy conservation initiatives, including Dr. Sudarshan Pal Singh, Director of the Office of Planning & Architecture, Kulbir Singh XEN- Electricity, and Sanjeev Bhardwaj – Project Manager.
The prestigious award was bestowed upon Chitkara University in the category of Commercial Buildings, specifically in the subcategory of Educational Institutions – Government & Private Buildings. This recognition serves as a testament to the university’s commendable efforts in championing energy conservation through effective utilization, management, and conservation practices over the span of two years, from 2021-22 to 2022-23.
