Chitkara University Empowers Women Entrepreneurs on Women’s Equality Day
In observance of Women’s Equality Day, Chitkara University, in collaboration with Trinjhan Chitkara Vocational Centre, organised a significant event aimed at fostering entrepreneurship among women from the university’s adopted villages. The event, held at Explore Stars Hall in the Bloom Block, served as a platform for equipping women with the tools and knowledge needed to embark on entrepreneurial journeys.
The highlight of the event was a session led by Dr. Piyush Garg, Vice President of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED) at Chitkara University. Dr. Garg shared practical insights into the world of start-ups, guiding participants through the intricacies of launching and sustaining a business. He provided valuable information on government schemes designed to support women entrepreneurs, offering essential resources and mentorship to help turn their aspirations into reality.
Throughout the session, participants gained a clearer understanding of the steps required to begin their entrepreneurial ventures. The atmosphere was one of learning and empowerment, as the women engaged with new ideas and explored opportunities that could lead to financial independence and self-reliance.
The event concluded with a ceremony recognising the accomplishments of women from Jansla Skill Centre, who were awarded certificates and tokens of appreciation for their efforts. This recognition symbolised not only their achievements but also their potential for future success.
Chitkara University’s commitment to empowering women through education and entrepreneurship was underscored by this event. It reflects the institution’s broader vision of fostering inclusivity and providing opportunities for women to thrive in all areas of life. By equipping women with entrepreneurial skills, the university continues to support a future where equality and self-sufficiency are within reach for all.
