Chitkara University celebrates 74th Republic Day
Our country has a message to deliver, a mission to fulfill, a destiny to reach, and a constitution with an indefinite spectrum to celebrate.
On January 26th, 2023, Chitkara University, Punjab celebrated Republic Day in a manner that was nothing short of grandeur and splendor. The grand celebration began with the highly-anticipated flag-hoisting ceremony, led by *Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Dr. Madhu Chitkara. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Archana Mantri also accompanied the arena. The ceremony was a sight to behold and a fitting tribute to the nation.
The parade followed was a mesmerizing display of military might and national pride. The NCC Cadets, students of the Maritime department, and Security personnel marched with precision and discipline, leaving the audience in awe. The highlight of the celebration was the display of beautiful and glorious tableaus depicting the themes of Equality, Liberty, Justice, and Fraternity.
A postman delivered a letter to Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Ma’am in a vintage style, inviting her on a journey through the different eras of media. The celebration continued with a spectacular play “Chitthi”, followed by a series of back-to-back performances by the students of different departments.
In the end, the Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Ma’am honored and awarded the cadets from NCC and NSS volunteers along with trained rural women of Chitkara Trinjan Vocational Centre of adopted village Jhansla. The winners of the inter-department competition were also awarded by the Pro-Chancellor Ma’am.
The celebration was a testament to the university’s unyielding patriotism and unwavering commitment.
