Chitkara University awarded second position in State Level Energy Conservation Awards
Chitkara University, Punjab, was awarded the second position in Punjab in State Level Energy Conservation Award-2022 for making extra efforts towards efficient utilization, management, and conservation of energy during the last two financial years, 2020-21 & 2021-22, by Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) in association with Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, (Government of India).
During the ceremonial function Hon’ble Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, received the award and certificate from Shri Aman Arora, Minister of New and Renewable Energy Sources (NRES), Government of Punjab, in the presence of Dr. Sudarshan Pal Singh, Director, OAD.
Moreover, a workshop-cum- exhibition to sensitise the stakeholders to adopt energy-efficient materials/appliances while approving, designing, and constructing energy-efficient buildings for the implementation of Punjab ECBC and also in EE industries was attended by Kulbir Singh, XEN, Electricity, and Sanjeev Bhardwaj, Project Manager, Infrastructure.
