Chitkara University and Capgemini Launch Cutting-Edge Code Experience Center
Chitkara University, has partnered with Capgemini to establish the Code Experience Center (CEC) Lab on its campus. Capgemini, a global business and technology transformation partner, shares a long-standing and fruitful association with Chitkara University. As part of this partnership, Capgemini offers campus placements each year, providing talented students with direct access to employment opportunities. The newly launched CEC Lab will further enhance job prospects by offering cutting-edge training programmes designed to equip students with high-demand skills in the IT industry.
The Code Experience Center was inaugurated in a ceremony attended by several prominent dignitaries, including Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor, Chitkara University; Vishal Gupta, Executive Vice President, FS ABL – Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance & Technology, Financial Services SBU India, Capgemini; Gautam Nehra, Executive Vice President, Banking Americas, Financial Services SBU India, Capgemini; Puneet Kumra, Vice President & Head, Early Careers Programme India, Capgemini; Amit Khurana, Senior Director, Head of Brand, Employer Brand and Recruitment Marketing, Capgemini India; and Dr. Cavita Taragi, Pro Vice Chancellor (Industry Partnerships), Chitkara University.
During the inauguration, Dr. Madhu Chitkara acknowledged the valuable partnership between Chitkara University and Capgemini and commended the company’s contribution to shaping the future of students. She highlighted the university’s consistent efforts in providing world-class education and the significant role the newly established lab would play in helping students secure positions in top IT companies. She also emphasised the importance of equipping students with practical skills to meet industry requirements and succeed in the fast-evolving technology landscape.

The CEC Lab is equipped with state-of-the-art resources, including audio-video equipment, six touch panels, meeting rooms, play areas, and a cafeteria, ensuring a comfortable and conducive environment for learning and collaboration. Industry experts from Capgemini will conduct hands-on training sessions for selected students. Once the initial training phase concludes, the lab will serve as a platform for other students to gain practical experience by working on live projects, further enhancing their employability.
