Chitkara Universit celebrates International Women’s Day 2021 on the theme ‘’Women: – Statured and Gratified’

The Office of Student Affairs, under the assistance of Chitkara University, Punjab, celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8th, 2021. The theme of the event was, ’Women: – Statured and Gratified’.

The day was accredited with the mass participation of the female faculty and staff. A total of eight events were organised to celebrate this day. It included a Painting Workshop, Antakshari, Self Defence Workshop, A Minute to Win, Expression of Gratitude for Womanhood, Panel Discussion on Women in Technology, Chef Competition of Diva of Cuisines, Demonstration as Mother’s Corner and Pictionary.

Along with this, the university Sports Board also ensured full participation to honour the day and organised five games; Badminton, Carrom, Lemon Race and Sack Race.

On the occasion, Chitkara University participated in a live session with the Honorable Chief Minister of Punjab, Shri Captain Amarinder Singh, where the Punjab Chief Minister interacted with all the women and shared his valuable insights on various topics with the audience. Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Punjab and Dr. S.C Sharma, Registrar, Chitkara University, Punjab along with 450 female students and faculty members attended the event with great enthusiasm.

Overall, the entire event was well concocted and well-received. Hence, the theme, ‘Women: – Statured and Gratified’ was indeed fulfilled.
