Chitkara Toastmasters Club Organised “Face off Debate” for Journalism Students

Colin Powell said : “Great leaders are almost always great simplifiers, who can cut through argument, debate and doubt, to offer a solution everybody can understand.” Masters students battled each other in the ‘Face off’ debate. The speakers debated on topics such as ‘Good government does not mean good governance, which is the more powerful K? Kiran or Kejriwal, Corrupt free India is an impossible dream and Is media evading personal boundaries?

The speakers embodied the spirit of debate in their manner and delivery, the audience complimented the participants with their encouragement and enthusiastic rebuttal. Ms Rajneet Kohli presided as the judge for the ‘face off’.

The best speaker prize was bagged by Harmeen and Damini. Toastmaster Vijayendra hosted the event with great élan. The audience was made to contemplate the issues raised and was invigorated with the thought provoking ideas put forth by participants and the Judges.
