Chitkara students honored on World Radio Day at New Delhi

Radio Chitkara107.8 FM participated in a function held at New Delhi on the occasion of World Radio Day. It was organised by UNESCO-CEMCA where the students who have made video on community radio were honored.

Chitkara School of Mass Communication students Ashish Jain and Vanshika Sharma were awarded for producing their video on ‘Community Radio-It Matters A Lot’. Students received a cash prize and the effort was appreciated on the national level.

On this occasion, a panel discussion on ‘Community Radio Strengthening Freedom of Expression and Empowering Community Radio’ was also held. Dean of Chitkara School of Mass Communication Dr. Ashutosh Mishra and student of MJMC final year, Sukhraj Bedi, were present during the discussion.

The panelists were Mr. Vinod Pavrala, Mr. Rajiv Tikoo, Mrs. Archana Kapoor, Mrs. Venu Arora and Mrs. Pooja Murada. Mrs. Supriya Shah, Secretary Information and Broadcasting, was also present during the discussion.
