Chitkara students express patriotic fervor, zeal by celebrating Armed Forces Day
It is always a pleasure to salute our soldiers and acknowledge their sacrifices, celebrate their triumph and thank them for their gestures. In an attempt to do this, Chitkara College of Education for Women celebrated the Armed Forces Day with patriotic fervor and zeal.
On the occasion of Armed Forces Day, Armed Force flags were distributed among the students. Ms. Manveen Kaur, a student of Chitkara College of Education for Women prepared a talk on the topic ‘Importance of Army’ that was broadcasted on Radio Chitkara 107.8 FM. She also enlightened the students regarding the momentous role that the Indian Army plays in our daily lives due to which we feel safe and sound in our respective homes.
The faculty of Chitkara College of Education for Women was a part of the celebration and the Dean of CCEW Dr Sangeeta Pant also shared her views with the students on the importance of the Armed Forces.
Chitkara College of Education for Women also concluded its seven-day NSS Camp that showed empathy and compassion for the humanity. They addressed various concerns that the humankind is now facing. Towards the end of the camp, they organized a visit to Sukhna Lake where the camp concluded.
This visit was organized in association with NGO Yvusatta and Department of Forest and Wildlife, UT, Chandigarh, in order to make the students aware regarding the simple pleasures that nature is providing us with that we at times overlook.
