Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture is proud to announce that one of our extremely gifted students, Varun Preet Singh, of the 2009-2014 batch, has won the ‘North Zone Award for Excellence in Architecture Thesis’ for the year 2014. The Jury was held on September 26, 2014 at Indore. A total of 36 entries were registered.

The National-Level Awards Programme is conducted annually by Council of Architecture (COA) through its academic unit, National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA), with a purpose to identify the best thesis projects from across the country. Stalwarts from the field of Architecture are involved in choosing the winners, in a public jury attended by the general public, including students and faculty from all regional Colleges of Architecture, eminent citizens and the media.

Two awards are given for each of the five zones (viz., North, East and Central, West, South central and South), which then compete for the National Award.

Here’s hoping that Varun Preet goes on to bag the National Award as well and bring further laurels to Chitkara University.
