Chitkara School of Hospitality ranked 18th in India’s top public and private management institutes by placement

Every year the growing popularity of Chitkara University adds a new dimension to its success with several feathers in its cap. This time it is Chitkara School of Hospitality that has hogged the limelight by being ranked 18th among the top 20 hotel management institutes, both government and private, in Global Human Resource Development Centre (GHRD) hotel management survey 2018.

GHRDC being a highly research-based organization has been the pioneer in starting the concept and practice of rating and ranking B-Schools, which was followed by initiating the Survey and Ranking of Hotel Management Institutes in the year 2007 and Engineering College Survey since 2009. Several institutes are visited by the experts and faculty from GHRDC and Chitkara School of Hospitality stood out among many institutes of repute across the country.

Several parameters are taken into consideration while ranking an institute.

The GHRDC team does a critical analysis of its performance in different parameters. This critical analysis is prepared and presented through power point presentation giving what points the Institute derived against each factor both in absolute and relative value terms against maximum points allotted to each factor. The analysis data reflects the gap between the points of the institute vis a vis the maximum point, determines the areas of strengths of an institute. Chitkara School of Hospitality was ranked 18th among the top 20 HM institutes based on Placement (National & International), USP, Social Responsibility, Networking and Industry Interface).

It was ranked 19th based on Faculty, Publication, Research, Consultancy, CDP and Other Programmes. It was ranked 10th for super excellence and ranked first as a private institute among the top hotel management institutes in India by GHRDC survey 2018.
