Chitkara School of Hospitality organized star awards competition for BSc HA and H&HA Students

Chitkara School of Hospitality organized star awards competition on 29th September 2017. Students from Bsc. HA and Bsc H& HA actively participated in different events and showcased their talent and skill. These students were judged and evaluated by the judges from different institutions and industry. Chef Sanjay Sharma judged the competition “chef of the year” and “Baker of the year”. Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Assistant Restaurant manager J W Marriott Chandigarh was a judge for “server of the year”. Participants prepared some delicious and refreshing mocktails and designed beautiful menu cards from recyclable materials. Mr. Jaspreet Singh & Mr. Sameer, faculty from Chitkara College of fine arts evaluated the talent of budding housekeepers. They praised the artistic approach of participants while making Rangoli and Towel art on the theme of World Tourism Day.The winners of the event were felicitated with trophy and certificates at the end of an event. Mr. C.M Bhan and Mr. Ravi Kapila shared some valuable thoughts with students and encouraged them to participate in such events in future also. Overall it was a very successful event in which participants showcased their talent in a different domain of their expertise.

Housekeeper of the year:
Winner: Ayush Bhardwaj (3rd sem. Bsc HA) & Rohit Singh (5th sem. Bsc H &HA)
Runner-up: Ugyen Phuntsho & Kelden Jamtsho (3rd sem Bsc HA)

Baker of the year:
Winner: Pahuldeep Singh (5th sem. Bsc H&HA)
Runner-up: Sheetal Samal (3rd sem Bsc HA)

The concierge of the year:
Winner: Rubal Kalia (3rd sem Bsc HA)
Runner-up: Sanjit Pal Singh (3rd sem Bsc H&HA)
