Chitkara School of Health Sciences celebrated World Alzheimer’s Day
World Alzheimer’s Day was celebrated in order to promote awareness of Alzheimer’s disease slowly spreading over the world and now making its mark in India. Chitkara School of Health Sciences organized the event, on 21st September, 2016 for the students and faculty to share the latest information related to Alzheimer’s. The event was introduced to the students of how socialists, family members, doctors and scientists world over are making people aware of this cognitive impairment.
The event hosted 3 lectures:
1. “Clinical aspects of Alzheimer’s” delivered by Dr.MeenakshiSood
2. “Pathophysiology and proteomics of Alzheimer’s” delivered by Dr.Varsha Singh
3. Dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease, Role of Physiotherapy” delivered by Dr. Ajay
The event also hosted a quiz competition followed by 3 lucky draw winners among the student audience: Sukrity (OTT), Sakshi (MLT) and Monica.
