Chitkara Nursing students organise Community Health Fair, inspire healthy lifestyle changes
Health fairs serve many purposes. The most important purpose is helping people live the healthiest lives possible. Keeping this in mind, Department of Nursing, Chitkara School of Health Sciences, organised a Community Health Fair at the Community Health Centre in village Kalomajra, Rajpura, Punjab. The village has been adopted by Chitkara University under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The purpose of the community health fair was to help residents of the village be healthier by seeking to engage them in conversation about common health issues and concerns. Proactive information regarding diseases such as diabetes, tuberculosis, breast cancer etc., and a free Medical Checkup, were all a part of health fair offerings.
