Chitkara International Film Fest celebrates diversity, talent

Chitkara University held its Second Chitkara International Film Festival – CIFF 2018 on November 15, 2018, at the Punjab campus. Focused on inspiring new artists to create impact through their film, the festival aimed to bring together artists from all across the country to display their talent to the commercial world.

The CIFF is a unique platform for aspiring directors to convey their message through a short film format in the form of a Film, Documentary, Advertisement and Animation. The challenge is to share a great story and aptly portray talent, ingenuity, innovation and creativity. The film categories are judged on their overall impact on the viewer in terms of its concept, acting, sound and editing. The judges and the esteemed Jury members for the CIFF 2018 included Mrs. Nandita Om Puri, Chair – Om Puri Foundation, Film Critic, and Journalist; Ms. Suzanne Bernert – German Actor; Mr. Dhruv Sachdev – Film Director; Mr. Parveen Chrispugg – Creative Director, Idea Heaven, Chennai. Chitkara alumni and special guest speaker for the day was Mr. Ojaswwee Sharma, Film Director.

The International Film Festival culminated in a beautiful and gala ceremony, where H’ble Dr. Madhu Chitkara, VC, Chitkara University, appreciated the efforts of all the participants and gave away the prizes to the winners.
