Chitkara declared ‘Outstanding University for Placement’ at 10th Higher Education & Human Resource Conclave
The 10th Higher Education and Human Resource Conclave, was held at Hotel Lalit, Chandigarh, on March 15, 2019. The summit aimed to initiate discussions and deliberations on the finest practices and challenges of India’s Higher Education landscape, and their possible solutions. The unique congregation of top decision makers from Government, Academia and Corporate served as an ideal platform for all the stakeholders of the education domain to formulate an effective educational ecosystem needed for creating employment and harnessing a culture of entrepreneurship among student fraternity. The key objectives of 10th Higher Education & Human Resource Conclave, include, showcasing innovation of students from various parts of India; Meeting and deliberating with policymakers from across the country; Networking with top leaders from Government and Industry; Showcasing initiatives; Learning & sharing the best practices and industry needs.
Hon’ble Temjen Imna Along, Minister, Higher & Technical Education, Government of Nagaland; inaugurated the Conclave in the presence of eminent dignitaries including Mr. Navin Mittal, Commissioner, Collegiate and Technical Education Department, Government of Telangana; Hon’ble Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University; Mr. Manish Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, National Accreditation Board for Education and Training – Quality Council of India; Dr. Dalip Kumar, Additional State Project Director, RUSA, Department of Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration; and other notable leaders who included, Policy Makers, Chairpersons from group of Institutions, Chancellors & Vice Chancellors from Universities, prominent B Schools – Directors & Principals, Engineering Institutes – Directors & Principals, HR Heads, Leaders EdTech Corporates & Start-ups.
During his speech, Along touched various aspects like the importance of digitisation in education, need of North East States’ inclusion for holistic development of the nation and important factors to impart quality higher education in the country. Conducive Policies & Regulatory Frameworks: Current Scenario & Future Requirements; Technology Penetration: Advancing Education & Employability; Ways to Push up Digital Education & Smooth Hiring Process; Impact of Technology in HR Practices & Roadmap for Future Strategies, were some of the key discussion points at the Meet.
Hon’ble Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University; said that the incubation centre at Chitkara University aimed to nurture “Job Creators”. She also presented her views on ‘New age innovations redefining higher education landscape in the country,’ during the panel discussion. Speaking on Digital Learning, and its impact in the Education Sector, Dr. Madhu Chitkara said, “Our students know better than us – we can learn from each other. Digital Learning has made it possible to bridge all the gaps – be it age, time or space.”
During the 10th Higher Education and Human Resource Conclave Chandigarh, Chitkara University, Punjab, was awarded Certificate of Recognition for ‘Outstanding University for Placement’, and Certificate of Excellence for ‘Exemplary contribution in the field of higher education’. Over 20 institutes were felicitated from across the Northern region of the country to showcase their exemplary contribution to impart quality education. The summit also included industry presentations from renowned edupreneurs, stakeholders, and industrialists on their latest innovations and the best practices.
