Chitkara College of Pharmacy at International Conference on AAYUSH & Natural Products and IASTAM Oration Awards 2018

Chitkara College of Pharmacy (CCP) team participated in the three days International Conference on “Challenges for global competitiveness of AAYUSH and natural products” and IASTAM Oration and Award function 2018 at Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU), New Delhi organized jointly in collaboration of the International Association for the Study of Traditional Asian Medicines (IASTAM) from 2nd to 4th, February 2018.

The conference was co-organized by AYUSH and ICMR to deliberate on various issues related to AYUSH products regarding development, standardization, pharmacological evaluation and marketing. Eminent experts included Dr Larry Walker, Univ of Mississippi, Dr Mark Rosenburg, European Academy of Ayurveda, Dr Ram Vishwakarma, CSIR IIIM, Jammu, Dr Anil Khurana, DG, Central Council for Research in Homeopathy CCRH, Dr K S Dhiman, Dir-Gen, Central Council for Research in Unani Medicines, CCRUM, Dr Ramesh Goyal, Director and Vice Chancellor, DPSRU, Delhi Univ, Dr Raman Dang, Dr D P Pathak and others. Dr S Arora Dir, CCP, presided as Chairperson to the Oral session on Emerging Trends in Novel Herbal Formulations with 15 speakers. Other experts included Dr Karan Vashisht, UIPS, PU, Chandigarh, Dr Pulok Mukerjee, Inst of Nat Prod, Jadavpur Univ, Dr Ikhlas Khan, Inst of Nat Prod, USA. Others included Dr D B Narayana, Unilever, Dr Jai Prakash, Indian Pharmacopoeial Commission, Dr Narendra Bhatt, President IASTAM India. Dr Rakesh Sindhu, Asso Prof and a team from CCP presented a poster.

Dr. Manjinder Singh, Assistant Professor, CCP was awarded International Travel Grant (Rs.1,50,000/-) by Indian Council of Medicinal Research (ICMR), New Delhi, India to attend and present his research work in the International Conference “51st Winter Conference on Brain Research (WCBR) 2018″ at the Whistler Conference Centre in Whistler, British Columbia Canada.
