Chitkara Business School ranks 1st in North Zone in the “Indian Institutional Ranking Framework” (IIRF) 2022

Chitkara Business School has been ranked 1st in the North Zone and 12th in India in the list of Top 30 Business Schools under University Program in “Indian Institutional Ranking Framework” (IIRF) 2022. Chitkara Business School has also been ranked 5th in the North Zone and 21st in India under the “Top 50 School of Eminence for Employability” category and ranked 6th in North Zone and 27th in India in the list of “Top 100 Business Schools”.

Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF), India, presented by Education Post, a monthly magazine on Higher Education, is a non-government body working on ranking of various institutions on a periodic basis. Different surveys are conducted for Indian universities, Indian Business Schools, Indian Engineering Colleges, Indian executive MBA programs, and others. Experts from education, academia, statistics, and management discuss and create ranking system and approach in this organisation. Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) 2021 ranks more than 1,000 institutions (300+ universities, 350 Engineering colleges, 150+ B-Schools, 50 Law colleges, 50 Design schools, 50 Architecture colleges and 100+ Undergraduate colleges for BBA & BCA) across the country.

Maction Consulting is a full-service research firm based in India with offices in the United States and Canada. The poll is conducted by Maction Consulting in collaboration with IIRF. Maction Consulting collaborates with IIRF to gather, analyse, and report data. Maction Consulting collects primary research data from institutions and does secondary research / literature reviews on various education-related websites, institute websites, academic publications, reports and statistics data publications. IIRF and Maction Consulting collaborated on the methodology, and Maction Consulting is responsible for all statistical analyses and reports on research findings.

The IIRF framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. It draws seven parameters broadly covering Academic Excellence, Research, Placement Performance, Corporate Interface, Placement Strategies and Support, Teaching Learning Resources & Pedagogy and Future Orientation.” Placement Performance means the employment rate of the college and how good are the packages offered by the college. Teaching Learning Resources & Pedagogy refers to the faculty, their qualifications, guest lectures, accreditations, Industry collaborations etc. Research talks about the research influence and reputation of the institution.

Industry Income and Integration covers the details of corporate leaders visit, revenue generation from knowledge transfers and tie-ups, internships for students etc. Placement Strategies & Support mainly refers to the support from institutions to their students for getting jobs and also includes alumni support for placements. Future Orientation covers the details about the availability of the Incubation centre for start-ups and entrepreneurs, ideas developed by professors and students etc. External Perception & International Outlook refers to the clarity of vision and mission, investing in development activities, public views of the institution in various aspects, number of international students and staff and other collaborations. In August 2021, Chitkara University, Punjab was ranked 37th in the ‘Top 50 Universities (Deemed and Private) of Eminence’ category of IIRF Rankings by Education Post Magazine.
