Chetan and his team from Computer Science Engineering bags the first position at PEC Hackathon

Chetan, the third-semester student of Chitkara Department of Computer Science and Engineering represented Chitkara University at PEC Hackathon. His team name BNM bagged the first position for his project that was based on Image recognition and IMU based dead reckoning.

The aim of the contest was to provide a platform for the budding developers to design and develop technological solutions ranging from mobile apps to video games for a specific problem statement. There were several participants at the event and BNM fared exceedingly well.

A five-problem set was given to all participants using an online platform. Based on the performance, teams were selected to appear for the final round.

The submissions were judged by a panel of judges and selections were made for the final Hackathon.

All the qualifying candidates were given a problem statement, for which teams had to provide a solution and develop an application. All the coding and designing pertaining to the application were done on site and during the 12 hours of Hackathon.

The apps were judged according to the following criteria:
Usability (25%)
Value (25%)
Design (25%)
Uniqueness (25%)
After the tough competition, Chetan and his team emerged as winners and brought laurels to the University. We congratulate them for this feat and are proud of them.
