CCP students awarded at CME on recent updates in Physiology & Allied fields
Students of B.Pharmacy (Ist year), M.Pharmacy (IInd Year) and Pharma. D, (Vth Year) participated in a Continuous Medical Education (CME) program, ‘PHYSIOLOGY UPDATE 2019’ organised by the Department of Physiology, Government Medical College (GMC), Patiala on March 9, 2019, at Govt. Medical College, Patiala.
The CME exposed students to clinical research and recent developments in various diseases. Students of Pharma. D, (Vth Year) and M.Pharmacy (IInd Year) prepared their posters under the guidance of the faculty of CCP – Mr. Ravinder Kumar Jaura and Dr. Nidhi Garg. In Poster Presentation competition, students Aditi Thakur, Pharma. D. (Vth Year) presented a poster on ‘Asparlas – A Novel Approach to treating Leukemia in adults and younger ones’ and was awarded the 1st position; followed by Diksha Gera, M.Pharma (IInd Year) who presented a poster on a novel clinical study titled, ‘Sudomotor dysfunction in Systemic Sclerosis’ with the 2nd position. Diksha is carrying out the clinical study at Healing Touch City Clinic, Chandigarh, under the expert guidance of award-winning & internationally reputed rheumatologist, Dr. Ashit Syngle, MD (PGI), FRCP (London), EULAR-C (Prague, Europe). Finally, student Gurkiran Saggu, Pharma. D. (Vth Year) presented a poster on ‘Women and their microbiomes’ and was placed third.
