CCN faculty attend the two-day workshop on prevention and management of NCDs for Nurses in PGIMER, Chandigarh
In the ever dynamic sphere of medical sciences, there is no end to learning, which is, in essence, was the concept of a two-day workshop organised in PGIMER, Chandigarh. Assistant Professor Mr Maninder Singh, Assistant Professor Ms Divya Thakur, and Nursing Tutor Ms Mandeep Dhaliwal from the Department of Nursing, Chitkara School of Health Sciences, attended the workshop to enhance knowledge and practice regarding recent developments in prevention and management of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD).
Topics covered included burden and determinants of NCD, Cardiovascular disorders, Diabetes, Hypertension, stroke, Cancer control and prevention, Innovative technological approaches to address NCDs, and roles & responsibilities of nurse practitioners in prevention and management of NCDs.
