Teaching that makes a Difference: Visit to Special Cell of Bhawan Vidyalya
Chitkara College of Education organized a field visit to Special Cell of Bhawan Vidyalaya under the Module Edlearner and Edmentor. Bhawan Vidyalaya has a special section established specifically to cater to the needs of differently abled children. These special children are divided into various groups on the basis of their abilities providing training to prepare theme for all walks of life their day is organized optimally ensuring an exposure to a wide range of activities and events.

For αLPHA TEACHERS’ it was a very learning as well as enriching experience. They interacted with the students and got practical and hands on experience wherein they learnt how to tackle the real situations that arise in the classroom. They truly understood the concept of Individual Differences and Individualised training as the teachers in those Special Cells do not expect the students to reach up to their level but the teachers with immense care, love and affection comes down to the level of the students and then teach them as their own children. Probably this is the reason that the students are so comfortable with them that even the idea of holiday makes them fidgety.

The αLPHA TEACHERS’ were so moved by the whole environment that they vowed to come back again to the Special Cell not merely as visitors but this time as full-fledged teachers who could contribute something to the society.
