CBS organises its 6th annual International Conference on Management & Information Systems-2018 at Thailand
Chitkara Business School organised its 6th annual International Conference on Management & Information Systems (ICMIS) -2018 at Thailand, on September 21 – 22, 2018, in association with Infoms (International Forum of Management Scholars) and AIMS-International. The International Conference on Management & Information Systems (ICMIS) is the most prestigious gathering of information systems academics and research-oriented practitioners in the world. It provides a forum that stimulates discussion on Business and Information Systems, provides opportunities for networking and collaboration amongst scholars from academia and industry. All papers presented at the 2018 ICMIS conference will be published in ISBN based proceedings with DOI.
During the conference, Mr. Rajit Verma, Assistant Professor, Chitkara Business School, was honoured with the Best Paper Award. A total of 38 Papers were selected for presentation from renowned institutions such as IIT, Kanpur, Kaestart University-Bangkok, Technology University Quebec-Canada, Pune University, XIME-Kochi, Bharathiar University, Loyola College, Arab Academy of Science, Christian Medical College and Hospital, Auxilium College, Azim Premji University, Maejo University, and Chitkara University. Large number of papers were received by the organising committee and only selected papers were offered to present in the conference.
Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University congratulated Chitkara Business School, INFOMS (International Forum of Management Scholars) and AIMS-International for their continued efforts in maintaining excellence. Speaking about the importance, impact and need of quality research by scholars, teachers, practitioners and students, she opined that research must always be of high quality in order to produce knowledge that is applicable outside of the research setting. She further added that well-conducted research is vital to the success of any global endeavor, as not only does it form the foundation of development and policies all over the world, but can also be translated into effective global programs.
