BSF daredevils showcase skills, stunts at Chitkara University

To mark the occasion of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on 75th year of Independence of India, daredevils of Border Security Force (BSF) enthralled the audience at Chitkara University by performing stunts on their bikes.

Grit, courage and determination were on display as 45 bravehearts showcased 31 breath-taking acts at the Chitkara campus.
Janbaz, a team of motorcyclists from Headquarters, Special DG, BSF, Western Command, Chandigarh put up a daring show by defying gravity and displaying stunning skills on their motorcycles. In a captivating sight, rows of uniformed bike riders, perched on their Royal Enfield bullets in perfect coordination left the spectators astonished. The daredevils displayed various intrepid manoeuvres such as back riding (ladder), jaguar formation, neck riding, fish riding, chest jump, janbaz salute (pole), janbaz jump, etc. The acts were result of unflagging discipline, sincerity and consistent practice.

Patriotism filled the air at Chitkara University, as the audience cheered on the daredevils and saluted their bravery.

Hon’ble Dr. Ashok K Chitkara, Chancellor Chitkara University; and Dr. Archana Mantri, Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University, Punjab; congratulated the BSF team and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the successful conduct of event.

On the occasion, Dr. Ashok Chitkara said, “This performance was a result of unparalleled courage, determination, physical strength and consistency of our jawans. Our bravehearts are the strength of our nation and have a glorious tradition of defending India’s borders. We salute their strength and wish the Janbaz team the best for all their future endeavours.”

Towards the end of the event, the students also performed an energetic bhangra performance that showcased the culture of Punjab.
