BSc Nursing 3rd-year students of Chitkara College of Nursing visited Old Age Home Chandigarh

The students of B.Sc. Nursing 3rd year of Chitkara College of Nursing visited Old Age Home Sector 15D, Chandigarh on February 21st, 2018, under the guidance of Mrs Manpreet Kaur Rattan, Assistant Professor) along with Ms Seema Raguvanshi, Nursing Tutor.

The visit was a great opportunity for the students to learn about elderly people. The main aim of the visit was to sensitize students about the elderly population vulnerability to have physical, psychological, financial problems and their dependency on others for their basic needs. During the visit, students interacted with the elderly and also got information about the services for the aged people like accommodation, food and general health care services available inside.

The students also provided them emotional support and made them smile by playing games and also distributed fruits to them.
