Every year Chitkara University carries out several activities and tasks that address social causes and shortcomings. Blood scarcity is a common hindrance to the health system in our country and many lives are taken due to a shortage of blood units. In order to address this shortage, the University carries out blood donation drives at regular intervals and witness a good response each time.

This time, NSS Department and Seagulls Activity Club of CBS at Chitkara University organized a Blood Donation Camp to contribute towards the society. It happened to be a very successful event as an ample number of teachers and students came pouring in to be a part of the good cause by donating blood. Apart from collecting blood units from donors, awareness about erasing the myths associated with blood donation was also spread by the team of doctors at the camp. Students and the staff were urged to make it a regular habit to donate blood.

Approximately 75 units of blood donated by the volunteers to Civil Hospital, Rajpura. The donors were appreciated for their assistance.
