Gursangram Singh of BBA fourth Semester, represented Chitkara University at Toulouse, France for Semester Exchange Program. While exploring his potential, he explored the world as he visited 11 countries namely France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hung, Slovenia and Holland.

Gursangram said, “First of all I would like to thank Chitkara University and all my professors for giving me this opportunity and to make me capable of going to Science Po, Toulouse, for a semester exchange program to study and explore new ways and broaden my thinking and prospective about everything in a very multi-cultural environment with students from Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America and making friends from all over the globe.”

he explored the world as he visited 11 countriest to go to a new country and learn various cultures and the ways of studies and their subjects as it broadens their horizons greatly, by personal experience of staying in France and travelling to 10 other countries, Gursangram’s thinking has changed a lot and he has developed a rational approach about everything. Gursangram feels that in Europe the culture and history is so rich that one will be fascinated by it, especially by the way they have preserved it over centuries.

He added, “One of the best thing for me is that I went for the program alone and travelled alone to all the countries, because I was the first and only Indian there at Science Po, Toulouse. I was always with people from other countries that made me learn a lot from them. There class atmosphere was very different than that of ours as we were allowed to eat or drink in class, most of the people were using laptops and the professors never stopped anyone from talking or using Facebook, etc in the class, which was quite different and weird for me when I reached there and thought it was disastrous how much freedom they are giving but later on after experiencing it for sometime I got to know that they don’t have to be strict to keep the students attentive in class as there was no attendance so the students use to come to class because they were motivated and really wanted to learn so no one use to talk in the class as a personal decision and not a forced decision.”

About the travelling part, Gursangram said that, “I really don’t have words for it as it was just to AMAZING. Backpacking alone to 11 Countries in one month, making many friends on the way of different countries going to FIFA headquarters in Zurich, oldest Zoo in Vienna, a wonder Eiffel Tower in Paris, Amazing city of 117 islands- Venice and the list is endless. Because of the European Union every country seemed the same but going to all these countries gave me a different view about them, they are very different as per their culture, there language, even their lifestyle and standard of living.

His entire experience had been greatly enriching both for his academic life as well as his personal life and he personally thinks that the experience was priceless and every student should go for it and this is something that will change their life, if not totally then a little.
