B.Optom students demonstrate model

Chitkara University has always paid considerable importance to practical exposure and knowledge among our budding professionals. This belief has always kept us ahead from others in the fray and has led to Chitkara University having better students.

Students of B.Optom, Chitkara University, Punjab, had the chance of working on a live model highlighting the physiology of an eye and then demonstrating it to none other than Dr Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, and Dr Kaushik Murali, a renowned pediatric ophthalmologist and President of Sankara Eye Care Institutions, on World Optometry Day.

The students who got a chance to explain the model were Rahul Gupta, Rahul Thakur, and Anish. Dr Madhu and Dr Kaushik applauded the efforts put in by the students and appreciated the enthusiasm that our students have been displaying. Dr Preethi Pradhan, Dean, Chitkara School of Health Sciences, was also present at the event.

It should be noted that signing of the MOU for another new course to be launched by Chitkara School of Health Sciences in collaboration with Sankara Eye Care Institutions – the B.(Optometry) Lateral Entry Programme, also took place.
