B.Arch. Students won the “North Zone Award of Merit” at the Heritage Awards for Excellence in Documentation 2016
7th Semester B.Arch. students of Chitkara School of Planning & Architecture won the “North Zone Award of Merit” at the National competition “Heritage Awards for Excellence in Documentation 2016” organized jointly by the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) and the Council of Architecture and is open to all schools of architecture in India. Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture had submitted two entries based on the 6th Semester students’ documentation of the Architectural Heritage of Malerkotla, of which the one on “Mubarak Manzil Mahal” won the “North Zone Award of Merit”.
Team of 10 students (and Faculty members) who had worked on the competition entries visited the exhibition of all entries at the INTACH headquarters at New Delhi. They also interacted with Gen. L K Gupta, Chairman, INTACH and Ar. Navin Piplani, Director of INTACH Heritage Academy, both of whom appreciated the detailed and meticulous work done by out team.
