Avin Sethi, our alumnus, gives insight on effective communication and professional life after college to mechanical engineering students

Chitkara Alumni Network carried out yet another power-packed seminar on the importance of communication through an alumnus Avin Sethi for mechanical 2015-2016 batch at the University.

Avin is a pass out of the 2014 mechanical batch and interacted with his juniors at his alma mater. He stressed upon the importance of communication and the reality students face after they leave college. It was through a personal presentation and the seminar had an emphasis on the importance of placements. He tried to make the students realize the difference between the protected college atmosphere and the life outside as professionals.

Avin stated that effective communication is a basic prerequisite for the attainment of professional goals. No organisation, no group can exist without communication.Co-ordination of work is impossible due to lack of communication.

Every act of communication influences a person’s success being a student or a professional later on in life. He added that when communication is effective, it tends to encourage better performance and job satisfaction. People understand their jobs better and feel more involved in them.It is through effective communication that an executive ultimately gets work done by others. Therefore, a successful executive must know the art of communication.

Avin was received with much aplomb as he came back to interact with the students and CAN extended a warm welcome and expressed its gratitude with a bouquet. After the seminar was over, he was thanked for his gesture and his valuable time with a souvenir.
