Around 90 students participated in a sports event ‘Sportsaholic’ organized by CSHS

CSHS organized a sports event ‘Sportsaholic’ for students on May 3rd, 2016 at Indoor stadium, chitkara university, Punjab. The event started at 10 am and ended up till 2:30pm.
Around 90 students participated in the event and played with great enthusiasm. There were five games conducted according to their interest area to compete namely badminton, table tennis, pool, carom and chess. There were both boys teams and girls teams for badminton, chess and carom. Pool and table tennis was played only by boys. Not only students but the organizers and various faculty members also enjoyed playing.

In the valedictory, Dr. Preethi Pradhan, Dean, CSHS and Dr. Meenakshi Sood, HOD, CSHS felicitated the winners with gold and silver medal.

Aakash (OTT 2nd semester) lost badminton match (boys) by 10-5, 10-6 to Shubham (MLT 4th semester) judged by Mr. Sushant.
Simranjot (MLT 2nd semester) lost badminton match (girls) to Renuka (B.Optom 2nd semester).
In carom, Tshering Dorji (MLT 2nd semester) beat Ugyen Thinley (MLT 2nd semester) with a great difference in boys and in girls Preetika (MIT 2nd semester) lost to Reshmi (B.Optom 2nd semester) judged by Mr. Ashish Chauhan.
Chess was the first game which started the event and gathered a lot of audience. In boys, Mukul (B.Optom 2nd semester) lost to Punit (MLT 2nd semester) in the finals and in girls Nidhi Chaudhary (B.Optom 2nd semester) lost to Annu (B.Optom 2nd semester) judged by Mr. Anuj Kumar.
Chandan (B.Optom 2nd semester) lost to Rojan (B.Optom 2nd semester) in table tennis.
Junaid (MIT 2nd semester) beat Saransh (B.optom 2nd semester) in pool judged by Mr. Abhishek Birla.
