The district administration on the occasion of first Chaitra Navratra launched a mobile app for Mansa Devi temple on Saturday and we are proud to announce that the app was developed by our student Hemant Shori, a BE (ECE) fourth year student studying in Baddi Campus of Chitkara University.

The mobile app, launched by deputy commissioner-cum-chief administrator of Mansa Devi Board Vivek Atray, has all information pertaining to the temple and the ongoing Navratra fair.

The application can be downloaded for free from Google Play store, which is available on all the android phones. Apart from general introduction about the temple, its history, and its murals and paintings, the mobile app contains information on the location of open kitchens (Bhandara) and worship (pooja) timings among others.

The application also provides phone numbers of the officials, who could be contacted for inquiries. It also encloses details about the nearby banks, police stations, railway reservation counters, and medical facilities provided at the fair. It will be available on Windows as well within a couple of days.

This is for the first time, that the district administration has launched an app exclusively for the temple. The devotees can make online donations by creating a user ID in the app for authentication.

All this and more by and for Hemant. Students like you make us proud and we wish you luck for future.
