Another Feather in the Cap of Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture
We are proud to share that Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture’s entry on ‘The Abandoned Edifices of Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan’ for Heritage Awards- Excellence in Documentation of Unprotected Heritage – Water & Heritage has won the Commendation Award.
Every year Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture (CSPA) takes up documentation of unprotected heritage that lies in a neglected state. A team of faculty and students visit the site and prepare measured drawings and all other technical architectural drawings. Last year, the documented drawings were submitted as an entry from CSPA in 2019 to INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage), New Delhi for Heritage Awards 2019. It is a national competition that takes place every year and Architecture Schools across the country send their projects to an expert jury. CSPA’s entry titled ‘The Abandoned Edifices of Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan’ has won the Commendation Award in the North Zone category and will be awarded a cash prize of 15,000 INR, a certificate and a book.
Heartiest Congratulations to Team CSPA and all the best for their future endeavors !!
