Our alumni set out to save, educate, protect, respect girl child

In a genuine attempt to save the girl child, along with, educating, protecting and respecting her, the alumni of Chitkara University, who are a part of the Royal Thunderers’ Club, will set out on a route from Kashmir to Kanyakumari covering a total distance of 4100 kilometers.

Chitkara University’s alumni,Harkaran Singh from ME 2004 – 2008 batch and Nikhil Marwaha from ECE 2005 –2009 batch, plan to take up a noble cause. The team comprising seven riders plans to spread awareness among the masses from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to save–educate-protect-respect the girl child.

Two alumni, along with five other members, visited Chitkara University,Punjab Campus,before setting off on their journey. They were welcomed by Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, and the faculty. Dr. Madhu Chitkara and the faculty members interacted with the riders as they stated how are they plan to promote the campaign while biking from Kashmir to Kanyakumari during breakfast. The club also visited the ongoing blood donation camp at the University. The entire team was handed over souvenirs by Dr. Madhu Chitkara.

The final flag off was done by Dr. Madhu Chitkara, as she wished the seven riders a safe and happy journey. The team would take up the following route Jammu-Chandigarh-Rajasthan -Pune – Bangalore-Kanyakumari and will be covering a total of 4100kms.
