Chitkara University hosted National Student Research Convention Anveshan 2017-18 in association with AIU, New Delhi

We take pride in sharing that Chitkara University, Punjab hosted National Student Research Convention Anveshan 2017-18 in association with Association of Indian University (AIU), New Delhi from 14-16 March 2018.

Total 62 selected top three projects out of 75 from all five zones of country North, South, East, West and Central were showcased from more than 60 different Universities/Colleges of India in five categories viz-a-viz Agriculture, Health Sciences and Allied Fields, Engineering & Technology, Basic Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Commerce and Law. A total number of participants are 120 from 15 states of country Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Punjab, Haryana, UP, MP, Chhatisgarh, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, New Delhi.

It was an enriching opportunity for all the students to witness and be a part of this mega event at the Campus. H’ble Dr.Dalip Singh, IAS State Election Commissioner was the Chief Guest in inaugural function and he stressed on to make the students innovative teachers must take interest in research and Universities should provide good infrastructure and this is the only way to enhance the strength of country and H’ble Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, was Chief Guest of Valedictory session and honoured the winners of the event and appreciated the pioneering initiative of AIU to identify and nurture research talent among the budding researchers in our country.

The idea of bringing together all the universities on a common platform proved to be an apt way of promoting university activities, especially by way of sharing information and co-operation in the field of education, culture, sports and allied areas.

This initiative also attracted an overwhelming response and enthusiasm from the young scholars and the community of researchers in the universities. Envisaged as a zonal and national level competition, aimed at showcasing the research and innovation taking place in the universities, Chitkara University’s Campus also provided a platform to the emerging researchers in universities to express their ideas and creativity leading to innovative research initiatives.
