The 9th Global Week 2017 at Chitkara University, successfully concluded with a very high note
It was an honour to have recently hosted 46 distinguished professors representing 36 elite Universities from 21 countries across the six continents for our much acclaimed, the 9th Global Week from 30th October to 3rd November 2017. During the week, the distinguished guest professors from prestigious Universities across the world taught nearly 2680 deserving students from all faculties across all our campuses.
The 9th Global Week 2017 was a remarkable footprint of global engagement and one of the best ways of Internationalising the student learning experience. This event served as a catalyst for infusing cross-cultural competence, knowledge transfers as well as networking amongst the respective yet designated faculty. This block week witnessed the phenomenal immersion of global talent pool for imbibing the best practices through collaborated learning & blended teaching.
Chitkara University has been continuously hosting this event where eminent faculty members are invited from across the world to teach predetermined short module courses.This globally most sought-after event significantly offered an excellent yet life-changing opportunity for the guest professors for getting closely acquainted with our rich culture & diversity of incredible India. Besides offering invaluable networking between local and visiting faculty, one of the objectives of this event was to provide a global environment to keep Chitkara University students informed about the dynamics of International education and to raise their global awareness.
Our deserving students experienced stimulating interactive sessions with guest professors from its partner universities from around the world. They also gained competence towards becoming global learners as they witnessed unprecedented pedagogical styles while they were with us. All the courses taught by the International faculty are considered not only useful but also in demand by the prospective placement companies not just in India alone but across the world, as well.
The subsequent outcome of this strategic initiative of Global TNE on one platform established deep bonding between students & our erudite professors, which also brought along diverse opportunities viz. internships, hands-on live projects, exclusive scholarships, further extensive mobility engagements, joint curriculum development & delivery, co-publication & joint supervision, joint research initiatives etc.
