24 teams participate in SAE’s technical event ‘Power-Rub Racing Car’

Technical event “Power-Rub Racing Car” was organized by SAEINDIA Collegiate Club of Chitkara School of Mechanical Engineering, under the guidance of Faculty Advisor Harvinder Shera in association with DSW.

About 24 Teams participated in this event, which had two rounds. First was based on the “Design and Creativity” and second was the Race. Winners of this events were Amijot Singh Sethi and Shubham Bhujeja of second year CSME(First Position), Hitesh and Karan Veer second year CSME(Second Position).

SAEINDIA is India’s leading resource for mobility technology. As an individual member driven society of mobility practitioners the ownership of SAEINDIA wrests with its members, who are Individuals from the mobility community, which includes engineer executives from industry, government officials, academics and students.

SAEINDIA is an affiliate society of SAE International registered in India as an Indian nonprofit engineering and scientific society dedicated to the advancement of mobility industry in India.

Global standards have become a necessity, and the responsibility for developing them is on internationally recognized standards-writing groups and, ultimately, on the individual engineers who participate in standards work and this event at Chitkara University was a step in this direction. The teams came up with extremely innovative ideas at the event. The models shown up smart, technologically intelligent and allowed the students to open up their minds as budding engineers.

The event allowed our students to enhance the knowledge base about recent trends in the engineering of mobility systems. They also learnt about the latest advancements in technology in the field of automobiles.
